t took eons to map and trace the origin of the Count’s treasures. Most are from Romania’s region Transylvania, a few come from neighboring regions of Moldova and Valahia, while several – from abroad. They are all spread somewhere within the Castle Dracula in the Borgo Pass, N-E Transylvania, Romania (some - on this website).

set of treasure will not be the Count’s, but belong to the Man whose name he borrowed - the Valahian prince Vlad the Impaler-Dracula.

ow, the Romanians should know what the Count wore last night, what jewels were worn by the ladies in the entourage of the Count and other such details. Bram Stoker placed the Count’s castle in Transylvania. It is our word against anybody’s.

oes the Count drink from a skull? No, sir, he drinks from the finest Transylvanian crystals and glassware. Dracula may be bad, but he is an aristocrat, a noble, a count. Here is what Stoker knew of the interiors of the castle:
- “There are certain odd deficiencies in the house, considering the extraordinary evidence of wealth which is around me. The table service is of gold, and so beautifully wrought that it must be of immense value. The curtains and upholstery of the chairs and sofas and the hangings of my bed are of the costliest and most beautiful fabrics, and must have been of fabulous value when they were made, for they are centuries old, though in excellent order”
- “The only thing I found was a great heap of gold in one corner, gold of all kinds, Roman, and British, and Austrian, and Hungarian, and Greek, and Turkish money covered with a film of dust, as though it had lain long in the ground. None of that I noticed was less than 300 years old. There were also chains and ornaments, some jeweled, but all of them old and stained”
